Who Is Jesus?

At about 3.00pm on Friday April 3, 0033 (AD 33)* a young Jewish rabbi from Nazareth, in Northern Israel, was executed by the Romans.

He was crucified outside the walls of Jerusalem and his body was placed in the tomb of a wealthy Jewish leader.

From the following Sunday and for the next 40 days he was seen alive on at least 12 occasions by about 600 people.

Two thousand or so years after he lived and died, his followers number in the millions.

He is Jesus.

Without him there is no Christianity. Without him there is no access to God. Without him there can be no forgiveness, no peace, no hope.

* This is the date according to scientists C Humphreys and W G Waddington.
According to the book of Mark from the Bible, Jesus died at the ninth hour (3pm) - Mark 15:34.
