Glebe Assistance Partnership Program - GAPP:

 

6 people, minimal costs (eg. daily travel)

We partner with a ministry to the Public Housing Estates of inner-city Glebe, befriending and loving in Christ’s name the people who much of middle class society tends to overlook.

Friendliness and a willingness to be social when you can’t talk easily about work, uni, and ‘normal’ topics!

Cru Winter study 5:

 

18 people,

cost $170

A Crusaders HSC study camp at Fitzroy Falls - lovingly serve HSC students (mainly from private schools) - many aren't christians - and share your lives and the gospel with them.

Sunday 30th June - Friday 5th July

 

Willingness to engage with students from a range of spiritual places. Able to tutor in HSC subjects is also useful.

Taiwan Overseas Missionary Fellowship

 

6 people

costs $2000 approx

The Credo team will work with a high school english camp, plus a working class outreach ministry, as well as experience and interact with OMF missionary families and life in Taiwan.

4 weeks - end June to end July

 

Team’s already finalised.

However, learning about cross-cultural mission and praying for the team is still open to all.

Camden Haven Kids' Club

(Team members will be generously hosted and fed by church members)

 

We’re invited to partner with the Anglican church at Camden Haven (Mid-North Coast of NSW) to help run a fun holiday program for primary aged kids from the local community. It’s a great opportunity to teach them about the difference that following Jesus makes.

Saturday June 29 - Friday July 5

 

We’ll join in church services on Sunday, and run the kids club during the week.

We’re looking for fun, creativity, and energy! No prior experience or training is required.

Auburn Mission

 

8-12 people

Join with a team from OM to help talk to the Muslim community in Sydney about Jesus. This mission will focus on getting to know people in the community, running community events and conversational evangelism.

4th-11th of July

You'll be trained in walkup and conversational evangelism. We need people who are culturally sensitive but are willing to share their faith with strangers.

Kids and Teens’ Holiday Club, Clovelly

 

12-15 people

Minimal cost, daily travel

In partnership with St Luke’s Anglican Church, Clovelly, Credo students organise and run a holiday program that seeks to teach the gospel to kids and young teens in the eastern suburbs. The program also involves craft for infants and workshop activities for older kids.

Monday July 8 - Friday July 12

 

No experience needed. Bring lots of love, creativity, energy and a willingness to look silly! You need a valid Safe Ministry Training certificate (talk to Alex)

SHUM (Surry Hills Urban Mission)

8 - 10 people

Travel costs

SHUM is a certified mission under Scripture Union NSW, and has been running since 2000, involving churches all over Sydney. It is a mission to the disadvantaged around Central station. The area has many people who have drug problems, alcohol abuse, are unemployed or have mental problems. SHUM seeks to spread the Gospel to these people

Every Tuesday in July (2-30) and Sun 28th

 

Experience may be helpful, but this will show the needs of the people around us. A heart for the poor and disadvantaged, and a heart for the Gospel is thus a necessity

International Students Camp

 

5-8 people

 

Cost: $160 (not including transport to and from Gerringong)

 

 

This is the first time FOCUS at Credo is partnering with FOCUS at Macquarie for an international student camp. We are expecting at least 50-60 people at the camp, majority are not Christians. We need people to help in logistics, leading review groups, kitchen help, and organizing games

4-7th July 2013

Thursday night - Sunday noon

 We need people who are passionate in cross cultural ministry. Speaking a foreign language is a bonus, but not necessary.

Youthworks Winter 2 Study Camp

Port Hacking

 

10-15 people

 

Cost: approx $200 (TBC)

Leading on study camps brings three wonderful opportunities - firstly, you get to help students pass their HSC and come to UTS; secondly, you get to spend a week with your fellow Credo leaders; and thirdly, you get to proclaim Jesus to 80 people who desperately need the Gospel!

8-14th July

If you have special knowledge of HSC subjects that's a plus, but the chief requisite is love for those who need to hear of Christ

YouthWorks Winter Study Camp

Blue Mountains

 

10+ people

 

Cost: Approx. $200 (TBC)

Study Camps are a tremendous opportunity to bring the good news of Jesus to people on the cusp of adulthood, as well as serving them practically in their HSC studies.

 

This is the first time ever for this study camp, so we’d love to have you on board!

8-14th July

Anyone who’s keen to see the next generation come to know and love Jesus is welcome, any experience in tutoring HSC subjects is helpful.
